Bike month is nearly upon us. Do you have riding goals or want some inspiration or motivation to get out on your bike? Whether You’re a commuter, prefer to ride with friends, or like to strike out on your own, you don’t need any other reason. Where there’s a will, you can usually find a way. The League of American Cyclists has put together this guide to help problem solve potential barriers to getting around town by bike.

While tabling at Earth Day Saturday, we did have a few people express that they would like to ride but didn’t have a bike. If an affordable bike is a barrier for you or someone you know, one option is the Bike Kitchen. https://www.lincolnbikekitchen.org/ Other table visitors said they liked to explore and commute on the trails, and of course there were those that just needed to fix their bikes or tires to get out riding.
If you’re wanting more information, Bike Lincoln is the City’s bicycling information and resource site at https://www.lincoln.ne.gov/City/Departments/PDS/Planning/MPO/Bike-Lincoln
Stay tuned for upcoming Bike Month activities.
Also, many of us love a challenge, and even though we don’t have the National Bike Challenge anymore, you can still participate individually at https://www.lovetoride.net/usa?locale=en-US
